Subrata Das, Ph.D., Principal Consultant

Dr. Subrata Das is a pharmaceutical scientist with extensive experience in drug development, formulation science, Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC), and translational development of small-molecule, peptide, protein, and biologic therapeutics. His expertise spans preformulation and formulation development, analytical and physicochemical characterization, manufacturing process development, production of preclinical and clinical materials, and regulatory submissions. He has contributed to multiple FDA submissions and the development and launch of first-in-class and follow-on therapeutics.

At CgA Therapeuticals, Inc., Dr. Das provides expertise in CMC, formulation development, sustained-release drug delivery, manufacturability, and translational strategy, supporting the development of catestatin (CST), retro-inverso CST (RI-CST), and next-generation CST-based therapeutics. His work includes optimization of lipid-based formulations and nanocarriers, peptide stability, encapsulation and release kinetics, and integration of pharmacokinetic and preclinical findings to advance lead candidates toward clinical development.

Dr. Das received his Ph.D. in Physiology and Biochemistry from Louisiana State University and completed postdoctoral training in Immunology, Molecular Biology, and Vaccine Development at Yale University School of Medicine. Before joining CgA Therapeuticals, he held senior scientific and product-development positions in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, most recently serving as Senior Director at PYC Therapeutics.
